Sophos Update using HTTPS

Hi, can sophos primary or secondary server source be HTTPS webpage. when i try using https it throws an error as " The primary server format is not in correct format for either UNC or a web address" Please confirm whether https is supported as server update source.

Hello pratik,
a search on this board for update and HTTPS has at the moment Updating via https:// as best match. Fairly recent, no change since then.

Hello Christian,

Is it possible to have update manage in internal n/w without exposing it to internet on https , we may have static account if required.

Let us know if there is a work around to have it going on https.

Hello Rustysoul,
AutoUpdate speaks HTTP only. You'd need something like a proxy HTTP-to-HTTPS application on the endpoint.
