[Solved]Cannot instal on Windows 2003

Hi All,

I have trouble to install Endpoint Server on Windows server 2003, i launch SophosSetup.exe, the setup launch and immediately after the setup stop with the message "failed to download installer"

I dont have à proxy or Firewall enabled on this server, the other programme or Website works fine (even XXX sites),

Hi Stephen,

I have the exact same issue on Windows Server 2003 SP2.

Can you send me a link to the old installer or tell me what patches are needed to be installed. I have found those 2 patches (WindowsServer2003-KB938397-x86-FRA.exe and WindowsServer2003-KB968730-x86-FRA.exe) but still does not install.

I have 3 win 2003 servers to protect.

Do you have the extended support for Windows 2003/XP as the original question poser does?

Can you please send me the old installer as well? Having the same issue here.

btw, why the hell sophos does not include the old installer and mentioned about this in the central portal?

If you need to install Sophos on server 2003 you need extended licence exclusive for 2003 server

If you have this please call to support Sophos directly.

I have the Extended Support and have same issue on Windows Server 2003 SP2 for sophos central server installation.

Can you send me a link to the old installer or tell me what patches are needed to be installed.

We still have 20x win 2003 servers to protect.

Good morning,

I am having same problem, cannot install in Windows 2003, i have Extended Support for Windows XP/2003, when launching installer it does nothing, is there any previous steps required to install?, you mention old installer and KB required.

Hi Stephen! I have the same problem with Extended Support, the central panel licensed as well, and the same error message. Can you please send me the old installer? The sophos support (ticket opened) wasn't helping much, and I have been under pressure because of the number of machines that was on standby. Can I get the old installer? thanks!
