Option 1. Manually visit http://captive.apple.com/hotspot-detect.html through a browser allows the login page to appear Option 2. Attempt to connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot through a different browser other than Safari Make sure Safari is closed. Navigate to a secure site such as https://google.com on another browser other than Safari. There will be a security error which is normal as the computer will not have that certificate. Choose to continue and the Wi-Fi portal page should appear. Option 3. Access the login page by using terminal (for when Safari is the only browser available) Open Finder. Search for and launch Terminal. Type the following command: open http://google.com This will launch Safari and should display the Wi-Fi login page. Option 4. Turn off Web control locally on the MAC Option 5. 1) When the error dialog appears Click OK 2) Click Cancel on subsequent popup 3) Go to Chrome (the work around does not seem to work with Safari) and refresh the browser 4) This seems to bring up the login screen and once logged in it is possible to use either Safari or Chrome as browser.
