When the Sophos Endpoint is downloaded and installed using the SophosSetup.exe file, computers are automatically assigned and managed based on the license used. If the custom Windows installer is used and a new component is installed then the computers should be assigned to the relevant Endpoint software. This article shows how to assign and unassign Endpoint software to computers in Sophos Central.

Note: In both methods, customers can only configure the management of endpoints for products in the Software List that has a green tick against it.
To remove a product component from a computer, it should be unassigned first.
Note: This operation is only valid for Sophos Intercept X and Device Encryption. Endpoint Protection cannot be removed using this method.
