Operating Systems Windows 7 (Mac OS X v10.7 Lion or Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard and the Boot Camp 3.1 Update)
Cause SafeGuard Enterprise Device Encryption requires hardware that provides BIOS support. As MacBook / Pro MacBook Air / Mac Pro / iMac do not support BIOS but EFI only, SafeGuard Enterprise cannot be installed on those devices.
The installation of SafeGuard Enterprise on MacBook Pro/ MacBook Air/ Mac Pro/ iMac hardware aborts in a controlled way due to a flag in the POA configuration file.
SafeGuard Enterprise for Windows does not support the installation on MacBook Pro/ MacBook Air / Mac Pro/ iMac machines and cannot be installed in a Boot Camp environment. This restriction is valid until explicitly stated otherwise in the SafeGuard Enterprise for Windows documentation.
