Hi,
probably need separate posts but after spending 4+ hours on live chat to eventually be told they cannot help and then they just ended the session! I have turned to these forums.
1, I am running SFOS 18.0.3 MR-3
2, I cannot Download SW-18.0.4_MR-4.SFW-506 as when I click the download button nothing happens (have restarted) Support are unable to link me to a download location to download manually, when I try myself I get asked for my product licence username and password which I do not have (never have)
3, I cannot backup any longer via the internal mail server (have done ok since March last year but now it has just stopped working and there is nothing in the log viewer)
"Failed to send the test mail on the email address. For more details, refer to the log viewer"
4, Unable to get a connection to my FTP server (I use it all the time for other purposes) I am presuming this is because I cannot set a port number.
"Backup could not be sent due to incorrect server configuration"
If anyone can help with any of these issues I would really appreciate it!
Thank you
Hello,
Martyn Campbell said:Support are unable to link me to a download location to download manually,
You can download the update file for v18 MR4 at the Licensing Portal. In order to download It, you will need to login with your SophosID, which is the same one you used to login here on the community.
Also, remember to download the correct update file depending on your installation method.

Please create another thread for those issues.
Thanks!

Once again your support is fantastic, thank you so much, the online chat could not help me after 4 hours but you did in one answer!
I have now managed to download the firmware but cannot find a way to get it to my XG Firewall VM?
The only issue is that when I upload the firmware, I get a spinning circle for a few seconds and nothing happens?
then it just goes back to this screen?
Is your disk full?
Can you SSH to your XG, go to the Advanced Shell (Bash) and send the output from the command: "df -h".
can see var is full but my knowledge is not enough to know what to delete!
This size looks to small. We expect a minimum of 10 GB nowadays.

You could reboot your appliance, this will clear some space of /tmp/. Then try to upload + boot, not upload.

I had set the disk to 15GB
I am sorry, i missed this one. /dev/var/ is basically the reporting and config section, which seems to be full. Can you purge Logs and check if this clear up space?
Just carried out a manual purge but no difference
Ok, so I am a bit stuck, I cannot take a backup as the disk is full, I want to create a new larger VM to resolve this and restore a backup so Prism has kindly recommended deleting the tslog folder but he cannot guarantee it will not cause problems, do you/anyone know if I can do this, take a backup, then recreate?
