XG firewall sfos 18.03 Linked NAT rule problem when creating a LAN to LAN firewall rule

Hi All

Is it mandatory to use a Linked NAT rule with outgoing IP address as original when creating a LAN to LAN rule in SFOS 18? I didn't use NATing at all in previous versions of XG SFOS. I notice that outgoing packets are stamped with interface IP instead of original source IP when firewall rule is not linked with original IP. Is this observation correct and if so, is it on purpose?

Hi,

LAN to LAN you do not need a NAT rule.

Please post a copy of your LAN to LAN rule.

Thank you for the response. I'll send the copy of the rule.(screenshot?)

By the way, the packets are stamped with interface IP instead of original source IP. (I have 3 xg125 boxes and all of them behave the same way)

Hi,

I reviewed by interLAN connections in logviewer and all show the originating and terminating device IP addresses.

What report is showing the interface IPs?
