Virtio Baloon Drivers

Is there a way to manually inject drivers into Sophos XG?

If not, would it be possible to include in the main OS the Virtio Baloon driver ? I know the Virtio NIC drivers are already present, the baloon driver would allow better memory management and show the memory utilisation properly.

Also qemu guest agent would be nice to have.

  • Just a question because I'm interested about it :

In case of a "fresh" installation of the XG appliance, whether hardware or virtual, is there even the possibility to include third party drivers or not? I know that e.g. from VMware ESXi that you can edit the image to include drivers for certain NICs that are not supported in the standard image. A short explanation on your part would be very helpful.

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards
