XG135 Outlook cannot send via smtp.gmail.com - worked ok with sG115. Stumped!

Guidance sought! replaced SG115 with XG135 on 18.x 2 days ago. Using Outlook from O365 licensing with Gmail and G-Suite. Can receive into OLK, but SMTP send is blocked. Send/receive from Gmail web client ok. Found a lot of articles re exceptions to add for O365, but nothing for Gmail or Gsuite. Added exception for smtp.gmail.com but it didn't help. Tech support hasn't responded - can anyone guide me, please?

Hi Ben,

what mode do you have the XG mail setup as, MTA, if so please change it to none MTA and try again?
