To use this image you need an existing DHCP server where you can set this TFTP server as your DHCP boot destination. This image does not contain a DHCP server nor do we aim to support one in the future...
Under Network/ DHCP, there doesn't seem to be options for this. It also sites examples for other firewalls:
Services -> DHCP Server
Set both the option for "TFTP Server" and the options under the Advanced "Network Booting" section.
Under the Advanced "Network Booting" section.
Networks -> LAN (or the network you want to boot from) -> ADVANCED DHCP OPTIONS
Any suggestions? Workarounds welcome as well.
Hi. Thanks. Any more more complicated instructions around hahaha? Will give it a go, and see if I can digest what it is teaching, and try to implement.
Hi jang430 Based on reference output which you shared in your post, it seems it is using "DHCP option Next server ".Unfortunately "DHCP filename/next-server support" is feature request at the moment with XG OS.You may submit the request on Ideas portal or you may vote on any existing thread.https://ideas.sophos.com/forums/330219-xg-firewall?As in work around you may use any other in house DHCP server where it allows you to configure or to have support of "DHCP option Next server'

If not that option, are thare other workarounds? I think it's a TFTP server. Doesn't Sophos support having a TFTP server in the network? Saw on some posts about TFTP server Option 66, don't know what it means though.
jang430 Hi, For available DHCP option you may use below reference KBA, the same will help you on configuration part- how to configure the same with XG.support.sophos.com/.../KB-000035925
Hi. I was reading your thread about PXE boot. Seems you got it working. Any chance to ask for your help on v18?
