need the upgrade to v18

hi!

have the

Sophos XG 86w Rev.1 Firewall Appliance (XW8BTCHEK, XG86w)

get this link

how could I update to v18 (MR1)

for the firmware upgrade i need the link sig file

but i only find an iso file

where could i get this?

Hi Peter,

you will need to get to, at least v17.5.12 before you can upgrade. That version is too old to upgrade to v18 that is why you are being offered v18 iso. You configuration will probably not migrate either, but you could try a restore after the installation.

I suggest you raise a support case and they might be able to assist you with the specific software for your device for a many version upgrade.

I am on version v17.5.12, but v18.x is no longer being offered from the devices firmware update page, or the licensing portal for me. Has v18.x been removed for some reason? Thank you!

Thank you for the update.

SFOS 18.0 won't be supported on older XG 85/105 and SG 105 models that have 2 GB of RAM but will run perfectly on the newer XG 86/106 models that have 4 GB of RAM.

Check out the following link for more info: Upgrading to SFOS 18.0.1

18.0 and later versions require a minimum of 4 GB RAM. So, you can't upgrade the following models to 18.0 and later:

XG 85, XG 85w, XG 105, and XG 105w

SG 105, SG 105w

Hi!

one question how could I geht the sig file for upgrade the Sophos XG 86w Rev.1 Firewall

I only see the iso image but could not update it in the firmware section of the firewall

to you have a step by step for finding that file?

Assuming you will not get a MR12 SIG, you should wait until V18.0 MR3 released.
Then perform a upgrade to MR14. Next step would be V18.0 MR3.
