Add Custom Application in Sophos XG

Hello,

Is it currently possible to add a custom build application into Sophos XG so we can apply filters/rules/QoS etc.?

And with Central synchronization enabled, will the Endpoint software detect any custom applications and list them under the "Synchronized Application Control"?

Hi Flo, The Idea at Sophos Ideas exist since 2016, but It has never answered, is there any news if It's on the roadmap? Since XG uses Snort; Is It also using OpenAppID ? Would it possible to use something…

Uploading custom builds is not supported.

Regarding Synchronized Application Control, yes that is correct. More info on that in this article.
