Cant block .exe files

Hi all

I have set up my Default Policy as well as the Additional Policy to expressly block OTHER EXECUTABLES as well as Windows EXECUTABLES (EXE) files, but my test user is still able to download Itunes, CCleaner, PDF Sam and other applications. His quota appears to be working, and I have blocked Twitter and Facebook, these features are working as well. Any ideas welcome, many thanks.

I am in a corporate domain, and our AD is sync'd to the Web Appliance. Many thanks!!

  • Hi

Would you please confirm if you have enabled HTTPS Scanning or not? If the download happens on the HTTPS website and you've not enabled scanning for HTTPS, Web Appliance might miss that. Also, please do a policy test and see if that is allowing the action or not.
