We have announced the planned lifecycle milestones for Sophos UTM and the SG Series appliances which conclude in an End-of-Life date of June 30, 2026.
The current end-of-sale announcement does not apply for customers using Sophos UTM on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
General Information and Resources
As there are different milestones which can impact the purchase of software and hardware in different ways, please see the table below for full details.

For all Sophos UTM customers, the following apply (unless otherwise indicated):
- You can continue to purchase all new and renewal subscriptions until June 30, 2023.
- You can continue to run Sophos UTM with a valid license until June 30, 2026.
- After June 30, 2023:
- 3-year renewal subscriptions will no longer be sold
- 2-year, 1-year and 1-month renewal terms can still be purchased but the expiry date must not extend beyond the EOL date, June 30, 2026
- All new subscriptions of any term (e.g., for a new firewall running Sophos UTM) will no longer be sold (excludes AWS).
