wifi comparison

Hi All,

I was just wondering - pragmatically - how the WiFi system compares to units from CISCO, Unify etc.... especially for roaming between APs, as we have a busy office, and APs will overlap, users tend to get stuck on one AP even if signal is down to one bar and they are next to another AP. This is with the AP30s

AP30s were a lovely toy, but not that good. When I had the AP30 on the home unit with AP10, there weren't any problems about moving around. The AP30 has had issues with HTC mobiles at least in AU, the AP10, AP50 and AP55c don't seem to have any.
The AP30 died and was replaced by the AP50, my son whose HTC was giving the grief hasn't complained since the upgrade.

Thanks, we are looking at upgrading our WiFi, and its hard to think of shelling out on Sophos APs when a set of Cisco's is the same price... so was still thinking what to do...

I would love a network with UTM and AP55c, so easy to control and provide a performance I would be happy with.
I am not sure what Cisco's you are comparing to which Sophos APs but the ones we have at work are 3 times the price of an AP55c, nowhere near the functions and they either need a Cisco switch with software or a seperate controller to manager them.
