Hi

After updating thunderbird to version 78 suddenly all google accounts in thunderbird have problems with authentication. After a while i found out that problem lie within sophos utm9.

Web filtering is showing now a lot of these communications during thunderbird account connections:

sophos httpproxy[20122]: id="0003" severity="info" sys="SecureWeb" sub="http" request="(nil)" function="read_request_headers" file="request.c" line="1694" message="Read error on the http handler 80 (Input/output error)"

This problem occur only with SSL decryption turned on (decrypt and scan) and ONLY with google accounts.

 

Do you have similiar problems with new version of thunderbird and google accounts ?
