Increase harddisk-size

Hello everyone,
we are using a virtual SUM in VMware.
The image comes prepackaged by Sophos with a 50GB HDD.

It keeps filling up...mainly coredumps are the issue which could be deleted.
But I'd like to increase the disk just for the fun of not having to delete those files every once in a while

How do I increase the disk?

As I saw it, there are 3 partitions + 1 extended partition holding 4 more (incl. log and storage partition)

I'd like to increase that. Tried gparted but got an error that not all constraints could be matched (what ever that means)

Any ideas?

    Hi,

    You should probably build a new VM from the Software ISO; the pre-built VM has some other limitations such as not using the fastest NIC drivers (vmxnet3), and possibly not supporting SMP (multiple CPUs).

    I tried manually installing once but couldn't get it to run.
    Does it work w/o any issues?

    I will give it a try if I find time tomorrow.
    State of the current system can be transferred using the config backup right?

    Will all the know UTMs be known and so forth?

    So only logs are lost?

    Hi, everything should work if install from the 9.105 software ISO and import your config backup.

    You'll lose the logs and reporting history.
