Endpoint Agent - Installation

there was a problem a few days ago, it is impossible to install the agent.

    According to the logs , seems to me that all components were installed . But the update has failed. So I would like you to get logs from the path below  

    C:\ProgramData\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Logs 

    Also could you check again bypassed the firewall.

    please see the configuration file (Config\iconn.cfg)

    ConnectionAddress = sophos:http://d3.sophosupd.com/update/catalogue/sdds.utm_91_ug2.xml

    if I open this link in a browser, the file is not found.
    perhaps because of this no updates.

    In the windows ? firewall is OFF.

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused . I have checked the logs from the endpoint and determined that it did not have any policy . So it could not be updated. . I would request one more log to check on the UTM 

    in SSH run  command cat /var/log/epsecd.log

    After going through the Logs from both UTM and Endpoint , We have found the issue is an open BUG ID NUTM-5297 Please watch out for future release notes for this BUG.  This is determined by the logs received .

  • I'm having exactly the same problem. Any idea on how long this will take to get resolved? 

     

    I have only just started with Sophos UTM as a solution for my SMB customers however I seem to keep getting all the quirks of this software. I'm liking it so far but quite hard to demonstrate features when they don't work. I was showing a client how easy it was to install and manage endpoint protection from Sophos. However.. this was the first time I had tried it and of course got this issue. Not sure if I sold him on the idea.

     

    Any update would be great :)

  • Hi Aditya,

     

    need to open this few month old case again.

    Running myself in this issue that newly installed server 2012R2 and also Win7 clients will not update endpoint client.

    it stays on 10.3 and will not update. Same error messages as mentioned above.

    any news on this? My installed endpoint clients are working but any new installation will not update and fails.

    Need help cant run these machines without antivirus...

  • have fixed it myself:

     

    - in UTM Webprotection / Filtering Options / Misc i have disabled the webcache completly.. waitet 20 secs and then installed endpoint again...

    and voila it installs and updates then without problems...

     

    so it seems the webcache was the problematic part here..
