Endpoint protection

Right now my company has Endpoint protection deployed to its current computers and we are currently in the process of building out a new UTM.

My concern is we currently have the old UTM's Endpoint Protection installed on the machines so once we use our new UTM will we have to install the new package given by the new UTM on all the computers and uninstall the old Endpoint Protection?

Or is there a way to mess with the current configuration and point it at the correct UTM to check into?

Thank you!

  • If this is a completely new UTM Configuration, then "Yes" you will have to delete the old Endpoint installations on the clients and install anew.  If this is only new hardware and you're going to restore a configuration backup from the old hardware, then you won't have to redo the Endpoints.
