Transparent/Split Tunneling in RED.

Hi all,

Hope you are doing well.

I have ASG 220 with v. 8.100 and I tried transparent/split and it didn't work but standard worked well.

Are there any requirements other than what the deployment helper have?

    Maybe tell us what you want to achive? [[:)]]

    RED in transparent/split mode is good if

    - You don't want to change the remote network numbering or layout
    - You don't want to apply security functions to the remote network's internet traffic
    - You only want to establish two-way site-to-site connectivity in an uncomplicated manner. [[:)]]

    The default use case which is configured by the deployment helper will add a DHCP client (aka "Cable modem") interface on the ASG on the redsX interface. That means the ASG will pull an IP from the remote network.

    Hi Tom,

    Yes, that what I want to do but I don't know where should I position RED device properly?

    And which network should I put in Network Split? The Remote one or The Local one?

    Because I think the Transparent/Split mode is similar to Stanard/Split mode, am I right?

    I have a client 11 branches and he needs Transparent/Split mode, and no one told how to do it?

    Shall I go with Unified mode?
