fix IP RED + ASG freeze @ saving config RED device

hi @ all,

following scenario: i want to setup a RED device but i want to give them a fix ip.
so therefore i configure the RED device like:

Branch Name: my_RED_device
RED ID: _ID_of_RED_device
Quick remote network setup: enable
Base (ASG) IP: IP of the RED device

firmware on the ASG is 7.506

now i have 2 questions:
1. why have the ip of the RED ends with .1?
2. why do the asg freeze if i click "save" for saving the red device config
