SD-RED 20 mode transparent/split mode doesn't work, but Standard/split mode does work

Hi community,

we have a SD-RED 20 at our Sophos SG330. I can configure the modes standard/unified and standard/split and the tunnel and RED-Status comes up (green in the dashboard.)

The SD-RED 20 is behind a Fritzbox for the test scenario. If I roll out transparent/split the RED boots and the LED "Router" is blinking.

The RED shall be used in a foreign network, so it shall not be DHCP server. With static routes the RED will be addressed for traffic regarding to the tunnel. So the transparent/split behavior is really needed.

Maybe I miss some configuration for it, which is divergent to the standard modes. Do you have some hints for me?

Yesterday I attached another SD-RED 20 and with the same configurations this one came up. Maybe there is really a sofware failure in the first one.

Could you please provide me with the Case ID so I can follow-up internally.

Could you SSH into the UTM using Putty, and do a TCPdump to see if you see the traffic arriving to the UTM when in Transparent/Split.

Yesterday I attached another SD-RED 20 and with the same configurations this one came up. Maybe there is really a sofware failure in the first one.
