Norton anti-virus liveupdate

Liveupdate fails for most of hte updates but some get through..is this a proxy issue(i am using hte http proxy in transparent mode set to only get squid and http services and leave all others alone)..ASL 4.009.

According to symantec, liveupdate uses HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP, you should make sure your user has sufficient permissions in the proxy and the packet filter to allow these types of connections, and then retry.

actually what i had to do was manually download hte latest liveupdate and live reg files install them then everything worked fine..[:)]
