Sophos UTM9 webfilter off

Hello to all.

I´m new to this F/W world, i´m starting to learn now.

I do have a very basic question, but i can´t figure this out.

I have sophos sg125 utm9. My webfilter is off, and still can´t access a few sites, forexample instagram , facebook, social media so.

How can i solve this? i mean i´d like to give access.

And if possible can anyone tell me how to block also certain types of sites, either by "type" or even by the site name ie - www.aaa.com.

Is Application Control turned on? Go to Web Protection > Application Control.

To block access to certain website or categories, you would have to configure Web Protection.

thank you for the reply.

Yes, Aplicaton control is turned off. and i still can´t access some websites, for example, instagram and facebook, are needed here in some departments.

Hello Goncalo,

if you want to reach public websites from internal LAN without webfilter/proxy (for testing purposes for instance), then you need at least a MASQerading rule in place:

Second thing is a firewall rule to allow traffic from "internal" to "Internetv4" and of course, a working DNS.
