Default DROP IGMP (192.168.10.3 -> 224.0.0.1) Please help.

I have a Sophos UTM setup as router/firewall. It is wired to a switch which then runs to various devices one of which is a TP-Link Archer C7 (being used as wireless AP, assigned internal IP of 192.168.10.3).

I'm relatively new to Sophos, but I have the basics down. I have everything configured for the most part, but aside from the random IP from China or some other part of the world trying to gain access to external IP every minute or two, my Firewall Log is littered with:

Default DROP IGMP 192.168.10.3 -> 224.0.0.1

I understand this has to do with multicast. I tried searching but didn't find much in terms of trying to fix my issue.

  • If you want to drop that silently, just make a firewall rule doing so.
