Sophos UTM 9 Home and Sky Hub 2

Hi

I have Sky Unlimited Fibre and a Sky Hub 2.

I have built UTM Home Editon 9 on a Gigabyte Brix S, attaching a USB Digitus Ethernet Adaptor.

I am struggling to setup the WAN Uplink port on the UTM 9 box ,  I am not sure how to get the WAN/Internet address transferred over to the WAN interface on the UTM Home Edition 9, as the SKY Box seem to be using MER , which relies on MAC authentication to allocate the WAN IP Address.

Has anyone come across this and can someone advise me how I workaround this please?

Thanks.

  • Hi Sachin

Thanks , I saw that article before I posted.

The problem I have is that SKY seems to use MAC based filtering , which means that the allocation of the Public/WAN address is linked with the MAC of their WAN Card in their Modem/Router box.

I am not clear how I get around this ,as there is no option within the configuration on the SKY Box  to override/transfer the address to the WAN interface which I have defined on the UTM.

I am sure I am not the only person who is trying to setup a UTM Home Platform who has SKY as a provider??
