Sophos UTM9 High Availability monitoring of slave node interfaces

Hi

I have two nodes in an active/active cluster and want to be able to monitor the uplink interface to the internet on the slave node.

When I log into the UTM, I get the Master unit and status of the interfaces on the dashboard, but I dont see anything from the slave node here.

How do I know if the Internet uplink interface on the slave has gone down?

I looked on snmp for a query OID for this but couldnt find anything either.

Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

Thanks

Richard

  • You should be able to do this with a combination of a script and additions to crontab-static.  Do you have those skill sets?
