I'm using the Sophos Authentication Agent with UTM 9, and it works fine on my Macs. All users are in the "Allowed Users and Groups" under Client Authentication.
In my Web Protection > Web Filtering > Global I'm using the Agent for Windows and Mac, and for Device Specific authentication, I've enabled Browser for iOS devices.
On Web Protection > Web Filtering > Policies, I've set the default policy to block all.
I have then added three polices from most restrictive to least restrictive.
Within my test system (home), my kids each have one device, and my wife and I each have three.
The kids are fine using the web login, but my wife and I are required to log on repeatedly as we move from computer to device to computer.
At one point, I was sure my user object showed multiple IPv4 addresses assigned to it, but now it only shows one, and my wife and kids don't show up at all.
The question: Is it possible to allow multiple simultaneous logins so that I do not have to log in on every device I pick up?
Thanks.
Edit 1: I have extended the Web Protection > Filtering Options > Misc > Authentication Timeout to a full day worth of seconds and will see if this helps...
Edit 2: Auth Timeout has helped, and now I realize that the Definitions & Users > Client Auth > Global is only showing machines with the Authentication Agent running.
I now realize that all device logins will NOT show here, and that I will not see web filter logins from the devices that are in use.
I will keep testing, but I believe this is working as it should.
