SG230 - HA Problem during updates

Hello,

We're having some troubles with our SG230 cluster. We have read this post https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/116131.aspx, so we were enough confident about the service availability during the updates. I'll go to explain the facts:

We have two appliances: SG230-1 and SG230-2, before updates SG230-1 was the master and SG230-2 the slave. This is the first update process We run.

  • Launching "Update to latest firmware version" (4 updates were available), the "Watch update status" page was blank.
  • After 15 minutes where nothing seems to be happened, We decided to force the update, pressing "install" button on the first available update, then the watch update status page displayed the installation progress.
  • After few minutes the installation has been completed (all 4 updates were installed), the SG230-2 appliance has rebooted then SG230-1 started to update. SG230-2  became the new master. After this, We lose connectivity..
  • Reading directly in the appliance display, the update process has been successfully completed.
  • We solved the problem forcing a shutdown on SG230-2, making SG230-1 back to be the master and rebooting SG230-2
  • After all, every update was successfully installed.

We think that the problem depends from the SG230-2 connectivity.

The SG230-1 and SG230-2 are connected to 2 Cisco Catalyst in stack mode. We're checking the cables, the switch port and its associated VLAN.

We would like to exclude problems on the SG230-2 appliance, how and what We can do some controls directly on the appliance?

Thanks in advance

Best regards
