No internet connecting via ETH0 (WAN interface)

Hello everybody,


my problem is, that i can´t connect to the internet via eth0 (wan interface).

the dhcp and dns server on the utm is also activ and i get an dhcp adress from the utm, but i can´t connect to the internet.

anyone who has the same problem or can give me a correct answer for this ?

ich habe ein Problem, dass ich mich über die Schnittstelle ETH0 (WAN Schnitstelle) nicht mit dem Internet verbinden kann.


Der DHCP und DNS Server auf der Sophos UTM sind aktiv und ich bekomme auch eine IP-Adresse per DHCP zugewiesen, aber ich komme nicht ins Internet.


Irgendjemand der das selbe Problem hat oder mir einer passende Antwort dafür geben kann.

Wäre euch sehr dankbar !

    Do you have a rule internal network -> any service -> external network ->allow?
    Do you have a MASQ (NAT) internal network -> external interface?

    yes, all rules are activ and the masq (nat is also activ).

    i get an ip adress vom the dhcp server but no internet access.

    short example:

    i´ve connect my modem with the sophos utm on eth0 (wan) and from the sophos connecting to my fritzbox (wlan router), so wenn ich connect my macbook with wlan over the fritzbox i get an ip adress vom the sophos but no internet access.
