  • In the KB (https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/125987) you can read this:

    A new RPM is available that contains the fix and can be installed onto your device through shell access. Please contact Sophos Supportto install this RPM.

     

     

    Any infos about this and do we realy need the Support?

    It's not just that issue though. That might fix the email issue, but it doesn't fix the HTTPS Proxy Restart issue - that still restarted and /tmp still filled up to 100% even with Sophos turned off and just single scan with Avira turned on!!

    So it's not a fix yet I don't think...

    Contact Support, they can re-install the previous version of the HTTPD. The one prior to the upgrade. So far no issues with HTTPD crashes.

    This version seems to be operating properly (ep-httpproxy-9.40-357.g7e74ab8.rb5.i686.rpm)

    The httpproxy seeams to be running properly at all time, it's a mistake that selfmon is restarting httpproxy.

    An unsupported quick solution worked for us changing (temporarily) the status from 1 to 0 here:

     

    fw:/etc/selfmonng.d # cat httpproxy.check 

    [httpproxy_running]

    status = 1

    skipCheckFile = httpproxy

    checkIntervall = 5

    failThreshold = 3

    type = processRunning

    processName = httpproxy

    logEvent = notify

    logMessage = INFO-141

    triggerAction = cmd

    actionCmd = /var/mdw/scripts/httpproxy restart

    The httpproxy seeams to be running properly at all time, it's a mistake that selfmon is restarting httpproxy.
