Snort 3.1

Hallo allerseits

Ich habe heute gemerkt dass meine Sophos UTM  Home meine neue 1Gbit Leitung ausbremst. Beim rumspielen habe ich festgestellt, dass das IPS das Problem ist. Im folgenden Thread "SG-210 ein- und ausgehende Internetgeschwindigkeit - German Forum - UTM Firewall - Sophos Community" habe ich gelesen, dass Snort single threaded ist und daher als limitierender Faktor wirkt.

Im Newsticker von Heise habe ich von Snort 3.1 gelesen, das multi threaded ist. Daher meine Frage, wird Snort in der UTM auf 3.x updatet und wann?

    I don't think this will happen any time soon - if at all.  It will be added to the XG Firewall before the UTM and it's still not there in XG.  The best solution today is a very fast CPU.  If you have 4 or more people in your home, you will want a quad-core CPU.
