New Samsung Galaxy S7 Note not able to access internet services

I have a Sophos UTM 9 Virtual appliance running at home with the home license.

I have web filtering enabled, IPS and Threat detection.

I recently got a new GS7 Note and upon bringing it home I discovered that I had many issues while on my local WiFi. Can't get to Google Play Store, Facebook and web browser was slow. Netflix, Pandora and other web based apps simply do not work. At the same time my wife got a GS7 Edge and experiences none of these issues. If I enable my Express VPN client on my phone I am able to use all the functions just fine.

I have tried adding a DHCP reservation for my phone and adding it to all the exclusion lists I can find. This has however not bore any fruit. Today I went and setup an Untangle Virtual Appliance to see if was my phone or the firewall. Once I got it setup I tested my phone and everything works as expected. I would much prefer to use my Sophos firewall so I was hoping someone else out there has seen this and knows the solution.

    Also have a Sophos UTM 9 but on dedicated hardware and I am having the same issues with S7 phones on my network.

    I have S7 Edge and regular S7 and both have the same issues.  They worked fine on my home network for about the first month and then the issues started.  I am suspecting a software update on the phones themselves as no other devices on my network have any issues..  If I connect to another network without a utm such as a place that only has a WiFi router like a linksys they works fine.  

    Some of the things I have tried;

    • I set them with a DHCP reservation and set firewall rule for to any destination and any service for the S7.
    • Have added it to exceptions for Intrusion Prevention, Web Filtering, Advanced Threat Protection, and tried disabling all those as a test.
    • Watched the various live logs and don't see traffic to them being blocked

    We also have an S5 it has none of these problems
