SG135 Failure - OK to import snapshot from older revision?

If I found a recent snapshot/backup file on the drive of the 'dead' unit (SG135 Rev2), is it OK to restore this onto the replacement device (SG135 Rev3)?

I have already imported the snapshot file https://vlc.onl by giving it the .abf extension (previously had no extension) and it is correctly labelled as an Auto-Backup and has the correct date. I just want to make sure it would be valid to use before attempting to restore. Otherwise, I'll just have to do this reconfiguration from scratch.

As Vivek implied, you can restore backups from an older version to a newer version.  You cannot restore a backup from a newer version to an older version.
