Problems with PPPOE interfaces since update v9.6

Hello,

So I currently have a problem with one of our customers. Here was the update v9.6 installed on the weekend.

This worked without problems. Until noticed that the PPPOE interfaces no longer come online. New installation of the interfaces has also brought nothing. If the interface is set to Ethernet it will work, but of course it will not be able to connect.

If it were only a DSL connection, one could say it is the provider. Unfortunately, these are two independent connections which are also fed in at different locations.

Attached the PPPOE Log:

Would be glad if someone had an idea what this may be.

Thanks and regards

  • Hi,

I faced the same issue, it caused a 30m downtime...The installation is HA Active/Standby with 2 PPPoE DSL connections. Now I triggered a failover in the cluster, the slave node took over, but the 2 dsl connections didn´t come back, even PADI,PADO,PADR,PADS were exchanged. I then disabled/enabled the interfaces without any change. I then initiated a failover again back to the old master node, this didn´t also change anything. After that I disabled HA, disabled one node. This didn´t help out aswell. I again tried to disable/enable the dsl interfaces, no change. After that I finally rebootet the remaining node and after that, the connections came back again....

    Already raised a ticket.....

Edit 2019-02-11: There is a rpm available, Sophos can install it.
