[8.296][BUG][OPEN] Question: Up2date Problems

I just noticed while trying to update that I have some problems with up2date and couldn't update automatically. Is anybody else having problems with updates. I have authentication errors in my logs that probably started around 8.295

    I hadn't received any updates in about 5 days so I forced an update using a different server and it worked fine. This thread can be now closed as answered.

    audld.plx --trigger --server 79.125.21.244

    Question remains why your ASG didn't fallback to any of the other (available) U2D servers automatically?

    You are correct Mario and that is what had me worried. The manual update worked but now it seems that I am back to being stuck again with no update in 900+ minutes. My system keeps querying the same amazon server over and over.

    Hi,
    every 4 hours your ASG should check which servers are reachable and perform the best, and in that process this file is overwritten. The process doing that is called "netselector.plx", and it is called by cron - you should be able to see that call in /etc/crontab.
    Just try to run this command line manually, this should shed some light on the issue. Thank you!

    No errors in my logs.  the server list has v8up2date3 first for me.
