Beta Release 8.080 (RC2): Release and Download Information

Hi.

We decided to do a second release candidate before the soft-release of 8.100.

German and Japanese Manual and Online-Help

In addition to various bug fixes this release (re-)adds support for translated manuals and online help, currently available are German and Japanese. Your ASG should already have downloaded the pattern RPMs with the new content, but it will be only visible after the upgrade to 8.080.

The new content also accounts for the 50 MB size increase of the ISOs [:$]

Fixed Issues


  • [15385] HA not available with single subscription WAS
  • [15857] Update printable configuration
  • [15948] After activation of a packetfilter rule with authentication header (AH) service the ASG will crash

Please note that the Up2date package will also be distributed over the
Up2Date server, so your ASG should usually download the package by itself.

    @wingman: we're polishing the last bits, v8.100 will be released soon. And yes, you will be able to ugrade from 8.003 to 8.100 via the update servers.

    @Tegra: we intentionally do not provide  ways to update from a release branch into a beta branch, because we do not want our customers to render their production machines unusable by accident. The only supported way is to make a backup of your production machine and import that backup into the beta-machine.
