[7.180] smtp proxy with ssl encryption [FEATURE REQUEST]

When using astaro for authenticated smtp relay, over ssl encryption, the certificate presented to the client is issued to and issued by Common Name 'asg.local'.

This should really be the hostname of the astaro machine. (it should be configurable)

If the certificate cn and the hostname on the client do not match, you will always receive warnings from your email client.

In fact: in the previous versions of astaro (6.x) this was never an issue.

  • Can someone please let me know where I can scp the cert while we wait for the official addition of this feature?

Our external users need to be able to use secure SMTP and the asg.local bug raises a dialog box on the user's email client EVERY TIME.

I have already posted this as a bug in platinum support with no responses in over 8 months.
