[1.950] WebAdmin upload of Up2Date takes ages [CONFIRMED]

Hi,

I downloaded the update-file and compared the number of bytes, so it seems to be a valid file.

When I try to upload the file to the ACC, I get a changing percentage of upload and then the system dies. No more response in webadmin.
After a couple of minutes, I can reenter the webadmin, but nothing is changed.

Even, when I look at /var/up2date, there is no partial uploaded file.

My ACC is running in vmware server 2.0 with 512MB RAM dedicated for this machine.

    I am having the same issue.  When I update it from the webadmin screen it uploads till about 99% then it dies.  I look at the processor it goes 100% and the ram is at 90%.  After a few mins the upload screen changes the background and asks for a username and password, but the percentage bar is still there.  If i log in it looks like the full admin console, just in a little window.

    This is a low end PC with 512Mb RAM.

    Okay, really seems to be related to the sheer size of the Up2Date package. I assume everybody could work around this issue by uploading via SSH?

    What else can I try?  Download is Ok. Checksum is OK. Number of Bytes is OK.

    Hi,

    I have tested this with a real 512 MB system (no VM) and the Webadmin UP2DATE Upload operates slow, but it works.
    auisys work also fine.

    Can you give us the GPG output?

    Hi,

    according to my information the issue could be resolved although the GPG error remains a mystery/singularity event.

    Thanks to you for initially reporting the issue with uploading a huge Up2Date package via WebAdmin.
