Error message in top bar when unread PM

When I have a notification (unread PM, etc.), the top bar looks as following:
When I have no unread PMs, everything looks OK:
This is on different computers with different browsers (Firefox and IE).

I've been seeing this too for a while. Figure it's some bug in the CSS or software used for the forum but never bothered to report it.
