While I agree that using ISP MTU should be available as an option, and not mandatory as it is, from my perspective this is more of a ISP issue then a Sophos issue, as your ISP should never be providing such a low MTU as a DHCP…
Do not do this if you don't feel comfortable messing up your UTM.
