Possible Issue with opening SURF 2.0.0120

Same behavior here: direct install with surf 2.0.0120.0.msi does not work, program never lauch. You have so first install SURF1.3.5.0.msi and then it will automatically ask for update.

I have found the issue and it will be corrected in the next release.

now we tried on another machine and it failed again, like in the previous version. any ideas?

This version solved the issue for me.

Could you ensure, that the Tech Tools site in partner dashboard will be updated to the latest version? I downloaded the 2.0 from there yesterday. At least the German site still offers the outdated version.

@Sophos Hi of November 2022 the latest version still doesn't work. Spent a couple of weeks messing around with it and then tried contacting sophos and got sent here instead of someone from support actually helping i was just sent to a user forum!

FWIW the latest installer despite saying its 2.1.0930.0 on the installer the .exe still SURF 2.0.0120 so i put it to you that the update hasn't actually made it into the release version. 

In my case this seems to have worked, but this needs fixing permanently especially whilst you are pushing your architgects/engineers to use the tool in your latest training.
