This post is to hopefully help others.
Issue: The AP6 420X units were randomly dropping off the network, so the entire unit including the wifi networks, would die for 2 - 5 minutes then come back. There was no pattern to the dropouts and happened to all of them but at random times to each other.
The setup: 1 x AP6 420X unit per site powered by a Netgear GS116PP unmanaged switch which is capable of delivering 30w per port. The broadcaster was the only PoE device plugged in and 1 - 2 networked PCs for each site.
Cause: Netgear GS116PP, as soon as I put in Sophos PoE injectors and then a non-PoE Netgear switch the problem disappears.
Reason: Sadly I dont know at this stage, definitely not hitting PoE power limits and it was occurring on all instances, all using the 183 watt power pack. Discussed with Sophos tech support, they couldn't work it out either.
Very odd but hopefully that helps someone out there not fall into the same trap as we did.
