I am testing 17 beta at home.
I have set up a MAC address host for each of my kids devices, created a firewall rule for each child, and set appropriate allowed times against each rule
The kids were complaining that they are getting blocked messages in the morning sometimes, which seem to resolve after a bit for no obvious reason.
The policy test always shows blocked though. I put the IP address of the device in but I assume the policy test isn't smart enough to know what MAC address that IP address is using, even if the device is online while the test is happening. This makes the policy test useless for testing against MAC address hosts :(
This was a problem this morning, but the time thing seems to be working since updating to beta 2, but I don't know if it's because of beta 2, because I did a reboot, or just because sometimes the problem just resolves itself.
One other possibility - the block message gives the user the chance to log in... if the user tried invalid credentials a few times, would they be blocked for a short time because of that?
