Known issue with blocking incoming e-mails - what to do?

outlook uses HTTPS (443) which is not processed by the mail rules but by your normal firewall rules.

After all, it must be possible to filter and receive mail using the most popular mail manager. Such a restriction would disqualify SOPHOS for working in companies.

I instaled Thunderbird. My business rule is working - marking as SPAM, remove infected attachments and mails are coming very fast.

I waited for the v17 (GA) version like for salvation. I thought it would solve the problem of not coming mails to Outlook. Unfortunately the upgrade did not help.

Does anyone know why emails come to Thunderbird or Blue Mail according to the business policy rules and do not come to Outlook at all?

Well,

you have a couple of options

1/. check and change the port used by your outlook clients to one that is part of your firewall rule.

2/. check what ports thunderbird and blue mail use

Do any of the received emails show in your daily reports?

Hi, thank you for your interest, because I already lost hope for help.

mails come through port 143 (IMAP) - Blue Mail, Thunderbird and Outlook have the same settings.

If I go to SYSTEM -> Hosts and Services -> IMAP Services is set to TCP / UDP port 143.

When I turn on the report received emails from today, I see this:

Those reports are basically empty because you are using imap scanning and the messages are encrypted in imaps. Change the port to 993 and see if that helps. You might also need to modify the service description to include 993.

Unfortunately it does not work. I added service with ports 143 and 993 ... and nothing of that. Default IMAP service is non-editable (143).

One email came from those waiting in the download queue (I see them on Blue Mail).

I can not even receive a test messages from Outlook which I sent by testing the account configuration. I had them only in Bluemail and Thunderbird.

In MTA mode I have the same issue. Emails are not comming to Outlook 2013. Earlier my friend tried to receive e-mail in Outlook 2016 behind my SOPHOS and had the same problem. Blue Mail works fine and mark spam messages as ***SPAM***.

Can you please post a screenshot fo your mail settings that you have in outlook. Right now I think we are all assuming that you have it configured for IMAP or IMAPS.  Make sure that outlook is trusting your certificate that you are using on the firewall that is proxying the IMAP/IMAPS request.
