Hi all,
I have customers who have mail server who doesn't accept any other security than LOGIN with authenticated SMTP, XG Firewall doesn't do that even if security is set to none.
Best regards,
Benoit

Hi,
I have been testing that for awhile and came to the conclusion if using port 587 you need security settings enabled at least on the XG implementation. For what you are trying to achieve you should be using port 25.
Here is a quote about port 587 you might find helpful.

I have read your link but nothing force to use starttls on 587. And UTM v9 is working great with the same configuration.
I can't test the utm anymore, I killed it to build an XG v17b box.
I was using relay for both notifications and users with authentication.
