After an Internet connection goes down and comes back again IPSEC VPN (IKEv1) tunnels are not being automatically re-established. You have to manually re-enable the tunnel within the tunnel status before the tunnel will come back online.
I've tested this by powering down my modem however I don't know if this occurs when the WAN Interface is still up but the connection fails for another reason.
