Hi, when setting up XG, a reboot is forced by a wizard after the initial setup. I suspect that check for new firmware during setup check box causes the bahavior but arbitrarily forcing it on everyone because you ran a wizard to define your default firewall rule and enabled virus scanning... sounds too much like a chinese router.
A reboot on inital setup is not needed in my opinion and should only be forced as a last resort in very special circumstances
