Same behavior for me. If I chose the manual method it works but not the "Quick"

Thanks for sharing the device information over PM. We have analysed both devices and found Auxiliary device running in "Registration Deferral mode".

For HA , Both device must be registered.Please refer the prerequisites - https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/123174#Prerequisites

Log line in /applog.log - "HA cannot be configured, since  registration is deferred!!!"

Please do the actual register in the device and do the ha and share the feedback with us.

I will test this. You might want to update the config guide as it does not state that

registration looks like it worked. You should add a note in the HA Setup document to make sure to register. the only problem with registering requirement is that it does not allow a quick HA mode function as you have to get the device on the internet first.

Also if you have an automatic HA setup like the SG firmware had where you just plugged it in how would that work? also how would it work it one unit dies and you have to swap the hardware?

Also the document does not says that you setup your ports and everything else after HA is setup.
