v18 EAP2 New FQDN Groups not available to configure in firewall rule

Hi Leon,

I found a similar issue in IPv6 setup, my IP4 went okay, except in IPv6 you can’t add them.

please advise which browsers you are using?

take your pick, usually Chrome.... but this occurs with Safari, Firefox, Edge and Chrome

Again this is a very long standing issue, the firewall doesn't refresh the objects list except when the page is refreshed/object list is reloaded so therefore if you create a host group inside the host object then it will not be available until the page is refreshed. Normally what I do is create the group first inside the FW rule then create the objects afterwards.

Again, fix needs to be part of the object system overhaul.

The problem also occurs when the administrator refreshes or accesses from another window. I think it's different from the case you're talking about.

Thanks.  Looks like a UI bug.

The control allows you to select FQDN Hosts, but does not allow you to select wildcard FQDN Hosts.

If you change the filter (top right Show:) to FQDN Hosts and compare Firewall Rule and SSL/TLS Inspection Rule you can see the difference.

And if you start the FQDN Host's name and FQDN with wildcard, the object is not modified. It can only be deleted.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean.

this is still an issue in EAP3 refresh IPv6 rules unable to select FQDN host group or host, the table does not appear.

In 17.5 the IPv6 firewall rules do not allow you to select "FQDN host" or "FQDN host group".  I am not sure if this is by design or it is a bug, but either way it is not a v18 issue.
